Dr. Riyanti Djalante is an Academic Programme Officer at The United Nations University – Institute for the Advances Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) in Japan. She coordinates the research and policy development on Global Change and Resilience, with particular topics on addressing impacts of climate change, building community resilience, and reducing disaster risks. She is Lead Author of IPCC Assessment Report 6 and Special Report on impacts of 1.5 degree warming, and the UNEP Global Environmental Outlook 6. Her other appointments include a member of IRDR Scientific Committee, fellow of the International Science Council (ICS). Dr. Djalante has consulted international agencies on issues related to urban governance and sustainable development, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, particularly in South East Asia.
