During the session, we will introduce the working model of HiQ Smart City Cluster highlighting the benefits of a sector-wide cooperation.
We hope to ignite a debate concerning two key themes.
16:30-17:15 Theme I.
Sector-wide cooperation of smart city solution providers and tech startups
We believe that a successful smart cities strategy requires a holistic approach and cross-division cooperation from both policy-makers and smart city solution providers.
A key question: Can we outsource the building of a smart city to the private sector stakeholders from conception to delivery?
The HiQ Smart City Cluster will highlight the benefits of sector-wide cooperation and set out a new model for financing smart city projects that has the potential of easing the current over-reliance on public funds.
17:15-17:45 Theme II.
Smart City Market Place and System Integration
Under the Smart City Market Place scheme a common platform was set up to offer space for cooperation. This partnership includes well-established companies delivering stability, tech startups offering world-class smart city technologies and public institutions providing a digital infrastructure.
A key question: What are the potential benefits of sector-wide system integration?
The HiQ Smart City Cluster will highlight the financial, technical and operational benefits of a common market place and explain the role of a system integrator.
